“Exquisite!” “Gorgeous!” "Stunning!” “Mindblowing!” “Amazing!” “Unique!”
These are some of the comments people exclaim when seeing a Woodscapes Nation piece for the first time. Featuring intricate designs of natural burl wood infused with a palate of colored resin, the viewers can continually find different shapes and scapes.
Woodscapes Nation was started in 2020 by two friends that have spent their careers as carpenters working with and finishing all things wood. In just two short years, they have happy customers in seven states and two countries. In a recent contest sponsored by DIY Network, they came away with a top ten finish!
Woodscapes Nation's motto is; “class and quality”.To ensure that quality, they personally hunt and source only the finest mesquite burlwood. They uncover and enhance nature's own artwork by creating keepsake heirloom pieces for generations to enjoy.
DAVE DANIELS
Growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, Dave learned basic carpentry and woodworking. His favorite classes in school were metals and wood shop. He has been a do-it-yourselfer ever since.
Dave's professional experience consists of business management and sales and marketing. He and his wife, Lu, owned and operated Daniels Printing in White Bear Lake, Minnesota for many years.
A move to Arizona in 1997 found Dave continuing his professional career managing and operating a stone yard, a rock quarry, and a steel drafting and blueprint company.
Always honing his skills in woodworking, steel, and stonework, Dave's latest artistic venture has him in his workshop creating pieces from mesquite burls and colored resin. Over the years, his art projects have been featured in magazines and newspapers and now online social platforms.
Sharing their love of exquisitely finished wood products and craftsmanship, Dave and his friend and business partner, Dave Knighten, have formed Woodscapes Nation. A partnership dedicated to class and quality, they craft heirloom pieces to be enjoyed for generations to come. Featuring their mesquite burl bowls, Woodscapes Nation just finished in the top ten in a nationwide contest sponsored by DIY Network.
Dave and his wife, Lu, are currently managing a ranch near Prescott, Arizona. Dave loves playing the guitar, exploring the desert, and hunting for wood burls.
DAVE KNIGHTEN
Beginning with roots in the deep south, along with its history and heritage, Dave can best be described as a true southern gentleman in all respects.

Along with being an artist in the woodshop, Dave is also a singer, songwriter, and musician. He loves old cars, old rock, and new tools.
Now “retired”, and after a career of finishing all things wood, Dave brings his crafting skills and his eye for art and design to Woodscapes Nation. Dave and his friend and business partner, Dave Daniels, have formed this company dedicated to class and quality, to craft heirloom pieces made from burl wood. Woodscapes Nation recently placed in the top ten of a nationwide contest sponsored by DIY Network. Armed with the latest in tools and techniques, Dave pushes the boundaries of his craft for all to enjoy.
